really relaxing to do. This was my first time painting clouds ^_^

Foliage study

More frosty leaves. cause i like the aesthetic.

Shouldve made the leaves darker

skin study

Not sure i got this right, think its more anatomical things i got wrong...like the shape of the nostrils :/

lava study

Lava study; did the rocks really quickly, just wanted to focus on getting the lava looking ok

Scale study

African bush viper. I did enjoy doing this study but somehow i didnt get the depth of field right. Not sure how i ended up with it like it is.
Guess i just got to draw more scales :)

Sillohuettes

Trying to make silhouettes more readable. was meant to give them a sense of depth aswel but think i concentrated too much on the readability

Glass study

Study of glass. Think it looks messy :/

Instead of drawing the outer-edge of the model, i just did basic shape which suggests a pose. The actual form can be drawn over these silhouettes. These were first time try at a new exercise. Come out ok :) But as a suggestion from a friend, the next ones will be in biro and the form with be drawn over the top in a fiber tip pen :) Watch this space

Fur Study

Let me introduce you to my doggeh, Demon (he doesnt live up to his name, he is a big softy <3)

I did a study of his fur last year (top image-yes thats him as a pup.Hard to see isnt it? :P) just added it to see if i have made any improvement in my digital painting. Think maybe a little, but still got a long way to go

crystal study

Should have made the bubbles more noticeable but first time doing a crystal, i know now for next time ^_^

Tree/wood study

did another tree/wood study which i feel came out a bit better than the previous attempt :)

Spent the morning doing some Gesture drawings cause...Practice makes perfect :D

Tree study

Tree study i did to practise with some texture brushes. Not happy with how it came out, going to do another tree study later

practising fabric

An attempt at drawing fabric, think i made the shadows too dark in places

Metal study

Not as detailed as my previous polished metal study ut here you go

Looking at it now the shadows should be darker and i have no idea why the hilt is wobbly :S

7th Value study the female form

i really needed to practise the female form. Always preferred doing the male form so here is a value study

Sorry havent been posting. I moved house and it took a while to get internet back as we decided itd be clever to move over Christmas. And of course everything closes Christmas lol
Im back anyway. Here is Value study number 6. I did a study of this artwork last year but in color, so i thought id show a comparison. I improved maybe?
